I decide to be patient although really, I'm a little perturbed and irritated. We SCHEDULED a time to get my car fixed. If you know that the axles are a little rusty and might be causing the problem, why can't you fix it? Isn't there a reason why we have schedules?! It bothered me because I knew they'd pull the "Oh, we're busy, can you wait and we'll schedule you in 1-2 weeks later?" Despite how close they are to my house, they were definitely inconvenient.

Always fair and reasonable
So just now, I've come back from another auto shop in town. I called this new place to get my car looked at and they scheduled me in for the next day. They got my car done on the very same day. Picked it up and it sounds great. No more creaking sounds!
The people here are friendly and do good quality work and at a very low price the lowest ive found around our area
LONG VERSION: So this place is really close by my house so I figured it'd be easiest. Just drop my car off and walk on home.
My car started making a creaking/squeaking sound and I went to go get it fixed the first time with J&L. They pencil you 2 weeks in. I'm flexible so I was like sure, why not. (I later found out that there are places who pencil you in the NEXT DAY.) Cost me $60 for them to grease things up. I know nothing about cars so I was like ok, thanks! Take my money.
A month later, the creaking sound started coming back. I took it back in the 2nd time. I got penciled in 1.5 weeks, yet again. Get my car in because I need it for a road trip to Michigan. And guess what they tell me? They're going to grease it up and after a week, if it doesn't sound any better, bring it back. The axles are a little rusty and may be the cause. Oh, and just pay us $20 for greasing up your car.
So this other auto shop told me that only my stabilizers needed fixing and it cost me a little over $80. J&L Auto told me that my axles might be the problem if the grease didn't work. Well, getting axles fixed can cost from $300-$800. So glad I didn't go back to them. I will never go back to J&L Auto.
SHORT VERSION: J&L Auto charged me $20 just to rub grease under my car. Either they don't know how to fix cars OORRRRR they're cheating you out of your money.

Traveling from Eau Claire to Woodbury on HWY 94 last week, I heard a loose gravel sound in my engine and given that I needed gas I decided to get off on the Menomonie exit. I pulled into a gas station where I discovered that the noise was my engine belt shredding! Seeing that is was an extremely hot day and having a car full of kids I decided to drive a few blocks to the closest auto repair shop which happened to be J & L auto repair. I was prepared for the worse and expecting the whole ordeal to be very expensive and time consuming but I was VERY lucky to come across this wonderful auto repair shop!! I couldn't have been happier with the service that I received from Bob at J & L auto repair.... Not only was it a affordable fixed, the entire repair only took about 45 minutes and we were back on the highway in less than an hour! I would highly recommend J & L Auto Repair!! Thank you Bob and J & L Auto Repair!
